Disney's Coronado Springs Newly Refurbished Room

Disney's Coronado Springs Resort is a sprawling American colonial Spanish and southwestern American themed moderate resort at Walt Disney World. It features many amenities other moderate resorts don't, such as; suites, a formal dinner restaurant, a salon and fitness center, and a dance club. We were lucky enough to get the opportunity to stay in one of the newly refurbished rooms at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort and we haven't stopped raving about this room since!

We only spent one night in our room at Coronado Springs before moving to Kidani Village for a week, but we definitely preferred our accommodations at Coronado Springs. The room was so bright and upscale compared to the darker, older theming in our room at Kidani Village. One of the most obvious changes for me (an allergy sufferer) was the laminate floors in the newly refurbished room. I didn't sneeze once. I find I constantly sneeze in hotel rooms with carpet, because try as you might, you just can't get all the dust out of carpet! Another huge difference was the bed in the newly refurbished room. It was obviously much newer and much softer. Our bed at Kidani was arguably one of the worst beds we've ever had at Disney (and we've stayed at a few All Star resorts.)
The theming in the rooms is really cute and still feels very Southwestern. I actually wish I could have taken the art work home with me, it's just so cute (and I'm a huge The Three Caballeros fan.) We really loved that there were plenty of USB ports right next to the bed, as well as a little reading light built right into the bed. (And controls for the lights right next to the bed for when your feet hurt too much to even think about moving off the bed.)
The desk area has your coffee pot, another reading lamp, and plenty of space for your laptop (and just about anything else you need to put there.) This area also has your mini fridge and some storage drawers. One of my favorite things about this room is it definitely isn't lacking in places for you to store things.
The bathroom area also features plenty of storage and we love the how modern and bright it was. We've always loved that the sliding doors at Coronado gave you a little more privacy (and gave my husband a little more time to sleep while I do my makeup) but I definitely loved the more modern style of these compared to the darker doors.
Another thing I absolutely loved about this room was the sliding glass doors in the shower. I feel like shower curtains are similar to carpet in that you clean and clean and clean and they just are never "that" clean. The sliding glass doors also mean less water on the floor, which mean you aren't having to throw down a towel to clean it up (so less waste!)
In keeping with the general feel of the room: storage, storage, and MORE STORAGE, there is even space under the beds for you to put your suitcases and other big items so your room doesn't feel cluttered up!

Our room was in the Ranchos section on the 3rd floor. This area was beautiful morning and night and very quiet. There's a lot of construction going on near El Centro and we didn't hear any of it. (This will likely change as the expansion continues.)
We also had this adorable little surprise waiting for us when we checked into our room. 3 little "under construction pins" that said, "Hola and thank you for being our Guest. We'd like to share our appreciation for your patience while we're working our magic around the Resort with these special keepsakes as our gift to you!" These were so not necessary as the construction really wasn't a bother at all, but definitely appreciated. Disney always knows how to make you feel special!
