2021 Epcot Food & Wine Festival

My favorite times of year are Epcot Festivals! As usual, the Food & Wine festival did not disappoint!

We saw Pooh doing a little fishing!

And while not part of the festival, I can't go to Epcot without stopping in France for a little treat. The macaron ice cream sandwiches ($7.00) at L'Artisan des Glaces are so good! They are very big so they can easily be shared.

We saw Aurora and took some selfies with her!

Italy is always a favorite stop for me! The Mezzelune Croccanti: Crispy Half-moon Breaded Mozzarella-filled Ravioli with Pomodoro Sauce ($12.00) and the Ravioli: Grilled Chicken Ravioli with Alfredo Sauce, Romano Cheese, and Prezzemolo ($13.00) were both delicious!

Did you really stop in Germany if you didn't get a beer? We wanted to try the Festival Schofferhofer Wild Cherry Hefeweizen, but they were out, so we settled for a regular Grapefruit version, which is always very good, but very heavy.

The Schinkennudeln: Pasta Gratin with Ham, Onions, and Cheese ($4.50) is always very good. It's a very filling dish and super yummy, very good value!

Kenya was a big letdown. Both the Kenyan Coffee Barbecue Beef Tenderloin with Sweet Potato & Corn Mealie Pap and Kachumbari Slaw ($6.00) and the Piri Piri Skewered Shrimp with Citrus-scented Couscous ($6.75) were both lacking flavor.

China is always a hit! The Pan-fried Chicken Dumplings with Housemade Sweet and Spicy Sauce ($5.00) are always my favorite. The ZiRan Beef Bao Bun: Grilled Beef with Cumin ($7.25) was very good, th beef especially. The Crispy-fried Pepper Shrimp with Spicy Sichuan Noodles ($7.50) had amazing flavor, but our noodles were old and hard.

We stopped at one of the new booths, The Swanky Saucy Swine, and grabbed the Crispy Barbecue Pork Rinds with Pimento Cheese ($4.75.) This felt very promising and the little baggie the chips came in was super cute, but it was a big miss. The pork rings were okay, but the pimento cheese was not a pimento cheese. It's was more like a roasted red pepper dip WITH cheese.

The Hawaii booth has never been on my radar but we decided to give it a try and it did not disappoint! The Kalua Pork Slider with Sweet-and-Sour Dole Pineapple Chutney and Spicy Mayonnaise ($5.75) was sooo good! The Passion Fruit Cheesecake with Toasted Macadamia Nuts ($4.25) was one of the best desserts I've had at the Food & Wine Festival. It wasn't overly sweet but just had a really great flavor.
