Rose and Crown is one of my favorite places at Epcot! It can get packed at night with people vying for an outside table for IllumiNations, but the wait and the food is worth it.
I'll be honest. The fish and chips are "good" but it's just not one of those "wow me" dishes. I would say if you've got a reservation here, pass on the fish and chips (you can always grab some for lunch from the walk-up window) and try something else!
If you would have told me that one of my favorite dishes here would be a burger, I probably would have thought you were crazy. But a burger is one of my favorite things here. There, I said it, I like a Disney burger other than D-Luxe burgers! The Welsh Pub Burger is an Angus Beef Patty with Welsh Rarebit Sauce, Branston Mayonnaise, Bacon and Beer-Battered Leeks. AND IT'S TOTALLY DELICIOUS!
The Sticky Toffee Pudding was one of those desserts that just screamed my name. Steamed Pudding "Cale" served with a warm vanilla custard and hot BUTTER-RUM SAUCE...SIGN ME UP! But...again, it was "good" but didn't wow me like I expected. I could have done without the cake and just ate the custard and rum sauce. I mean, put that rum sauce on EVERYTHING, please.
The Banoffee Tart on the other hand. HOLY COW! It's good, like wanting to lick the plate clean with no shame kind of good. It's Banana, Jameson Irish Whiskey-Caramel, Sweet Cream, and Chocolate...so how could you go wrong? All these things work together so wonderfully! I really hated having to share this with my husband.
And it wouldn't be a visit to an English Pub without drinks. The Leaping Leprechaun is a lot of fun: Don Q Cristal Rum, Skyy Vodka, Jameson Irish Whiskey, Melon Liquer, Sweet-and-Sour and is topped with Sprite (and served in a nice little souvenir cup!) It's also a great time to try out a Single Malt, Johnnie Walker, Macallan, or Irish Whiskey Flight. There's a lot of great options on this menu and I highly recommend stopping in!
