2020 Epcot Food & Wine Festival

Every year we have a habit of going straight for all of our favorite items at the festival, but this year we decided to hit some different options too (and those old favorites!) And how cute is this setup?

Of course we can't do the festival without getting the Chicken Dumplins with Chinese Slaw ($4.95) and the Mongolian Beef Bao Bun ($6.75) in China. Both are very delicious and a great value! China is always a hit for us!

I couldn't remember what my stance was on the Teriyaki Chicken Bun ($6.00) from Japan. It's a bao bun filled with chicken, vegetables, and teriyaki sauce. The filling is actually really good, but I think there's just a bit too much dough to filling ratio for my taste.

It was starting to heat up so we stopped in Morocco and grabbed some Lemon & Lime Slushies at Oasis Morocco Beverages. This is not a festival specific item and you can get it year round (with or without alcohol.)

Inside World ShowPlace we knew we had to try the Buffalo Chicken Mac n Cheese ($5.50) from the Mac N Cheese booth hosted by Boursin and the Liquid Nitrogen Cake Pop with crushed M&Ms ($4.00). Both of these items were very large and a great overall value. The mac n cheese was one of the best things we had the entire trip. Very creamy and rich and just perfectly balanced. The cake pop had the rich and creamy consistency of a perfectly cooked brownie on the center and the chocolate on the outside had the perfect crunch thanks to the liquid nitrogen and the candies. The cake pop was HUGE!

Canada did not disappoint! The Le Cellier Wild Mushroom Beef Filet Mignon with Truffle Butter Sauce ($8.25) was perfectly seasoned and so tender. The flavors compliment each other nicely! The Canadian Cheddar Cheese and Bacon Soup served with a Pretzel Roll ($5.25) was so creamy and delicious. The roll was the perfect touch too. Both dishes were very hearty and decent portions, so a great bang for your buck.

One of the things I was most looking forward to, and was a bit disappointed by, was the Lobster Tail ($8.25) from Citrus Blossom. The lobster was a bit overcooked and the portion size was a lot smaller than expected. Definitely not a hearty portion as the bottom bit was so tough it was not editable. I say skip it and head to Hops & Barley for the Lobster Roll ($8.25.)
