We just got back from a very cold, but terrific Universal Orlando Vacation! We stayed at Loews Portofino Bay in a Bay View King Room. I'm excited to share that with you here!
The King Room is so spacious and this bed was one of the most comfortable beds I have slept on in Orlando!
There's a large television, dresser with lots of storage + a mini fridge, and a small table with chairs.
This chair was so cozy, but also converts to a twin size sleeper.
There's a little coffee bar as you enter the room, which was nice.
There's a large closet to store your clothing and suitcases. The closet also has an extra pillow + blanket, iron & ironing board, safe, and the hair dryer.
The bathroom was as equally large and spacious as the room is! Lots of counter space and a huge mirror.
You know I love some bathroom amenities and these were great!
There was a large tub / shower combo in the room and lots of towels.
I think the only down side to the room is that without the split bath concept that most resorts feature, it would be a lot harder to share this room category with someone who isn't your spouse as multiple people can't get ready at one time.

We had a stunning view of the Bay and our room was right off the elevator and literally right off the water taxi dock. Couldn't have asked for a better room!
Some of the perks we loved about this resort was a walking path to CityWalk. The walking path comes out right next to the entrance to Universal Studios. You've got a beautiful view and it came in handy the morning that the docks were iced over and the Water Taxis were not running. Yes, you read that correctly. Docks iced over in Orlando. It was a colddddd trip!
I think our favorite perk was the Express Pass Unlimited that was included with our stay at one of Universal Orlando's Premier Resorts! This came in handy on Saturday and Sunday when everything had a pretty long wait time.
The food at the resort was also incredible! There is a Gelateria connected to the Starbucks at the resort. It was soooo good, even if it was 35 degrees.
We also grabbed some lunch to bring back to the room at Sal's Market Deli. The chicken parmesan sandwich was very good and the calzone was HUGE!
The water taxis was another favorite. They run frequently and are such a quick trip between the resorts and CityWalk.
Overall, our stay was terrific. It was so good that we are already talking about the next trip and how hard it would be to stay anywhere else at Universal after this trip!
