Being a huge Harry Potter fan there is no way that I can go to Universal Orlando and not eat at the Leaky Cauldron. Come on, it's iconic! The location serves traditional British food like Bangers and Mash, Fisherman's Pie, Ploughman's Platter, Toad in the Hole, and even Fish and Chips for the kids.
With all the fun British food options...I went with a run of the mill Chicken Sandwich. It's a grilled chicken breast with an apple butter mayo, colby cheese, smoky apple bacon, and a roasted tomato on a housemade bun. It was really good, but...it was just a chicken sandwich. I think next time I would be a little more adventurous and try something else. I got just a regular lemonade with that and the Chocolate Potted Cream. I'm a HUGE fan of the Butterbeer Potted Cream, but the chocolate was such a let down. Do you know those chocolates you get at Valentine's Day that are filled with the flavors that taste more like plastic and they end up just sitting in the box because you ate all the flavors you like? That's what it tastes like! One of those. Just go with the Butterbeer one!
Overall, it's the vibe that made it worth it. Not pictured was the Sirius Black's poster, which moves. There was a couple sitting right in front of it and I didn't want to be rude, but it was a lot of fun!
I loved all the details!
and you can even see the "guest rooms" in the inn!
I think the experience alone is worth a trip, but even just the plain old chicken sandwich was good, so I imagine some of the more specialty options would be even better!
